I hope you're doing well and are enjoying the summer (if you're in the northern hemisphere). Summer's finally here and I'm cycling to the lake almost every day for an afternoon swim. I'm in the process of planning the first video course (Composition & Arrangement), so I'm taking some work with me to have a holiday feel and still get things done. As you'll see, I've cut back to two video tutorials a month as they take up a lot of time and I need more to keep the online school project moving forward. Thankfully, I've ticked off the technical aspects, which took a lot of time to sort out.

Auto Shift – Ableton Live 12.1 Get Its Own Autotune

Even though I'm not one to pitch correct my own vocals, I was excited to see Ableton finally introduce their own version of Autotune. My favourite thing about Auto Shift is its ability to harmonise vocals or anything live. Check out the tutorial on how Auto Shift works.

Continuous Smooth Rising Tone with Any Ableton Instrument (Risers or Downlifters)

This tutorial has been requested. In it, we'll look at a method that works with virtually any MIDI instrument in Ableton Live to create long, continuous, smooth risers (or downlifters) that give you a lot of sound choices. I will also show you Meld's special oscillator, which is perfect for creating risers, drones or downlifters, depending on the settings.
